EQTY Lab, in collaboration with Intel and NVIDIA, has introduced a new solution called Verifiable Compute, aimed at enhancing trust and verification within the AI industry. This development addresses the growing need for security as autonomous AI agents become more widespread. The solution, announced here, is built on the next-generation hardware from NVIDIA and Intel, setting a new standard for AI security and innovation.

Verifiable Compute is the result of two years of intensive research, with significant contributions from the Hedera ecosystem. It introduces a hardware-based SLSA Security Level 3 system, which creates cryptographic certificates to govern and audit AI workflows. This system is anchored in the immutable and transparent history provided by the Hedera network.

Enhancing AI Governance and Security

The Verifiable Compute framework leverages advanced cryptography to protect AI data, models, and agents. It introduces a hardware-based cryptographic AI notary and certificate system, ensuring the explainability, accountability, and security of AI training, inference, and benchmarking at runtime. This approach isolates sensitive AI operations and creates tamper-proof records of every data object and code computed during AI training and inference.

The solution utilizes the Hedera Consensus Service to create an immutable ledger of AI computations, harnessing the transparency and trust of Web3. This integration provides a tangible use case for Web3 in enhancing AI security, transparency, and compliance.

Global Collaboration and Regulatory Alignment

EQTY Lab collaborated with various government agencies across EMEA to ensure that Verifiable Compute aligns with emerging AI regulations, such as the EU AI Act.
