Dymension has announced its latest 3D upgrade, introducing a new platform that allows users, creators, and operators to earn by participating in the ecosystem. A significant addition to this upgrade is the introduction of Dymension 3D:Bridge LPs, which connects liquidity providers with operators, enabling fast withdrawals and fee revenue generation.

With the 3D upgrade, users can utilize the Portal UI to provide liquidity to operators, facilitating withdrawals while earning tips. To withdraw from RollApps, users set the desired token amount and pay a tip, a fee based on a percentage of the transferred tokens. The default tip is set at 0.15% of the transferred amount. If withdrawals are not processed, they can be claimed after the dispute period on Dymension L1 without a tip.

New Opportunities for Liquidity Providers and Operators

Liquidity providers can now authorize operators to fulfill orders by setting a spend limit per token, specifying the delegated amount available for each RollApp. Tokens remain liquid unless used to fulfill orders, at which point they are locked for the dispute period. The default tip earned by liquidity providers is 0.15% of the transfer amount.

Operators fulfill orders by running Roller, earning an operator fee at the end of the dispute period. This fee is set at a default of 20% of the LP’s tip. Operators do not have possession of liquidity but are authorized to fulfill orders within the spend limits set by liquidity providers. Providers can revoke the LP at any time, making those funds ineligible for withdrawal fulfillment.

Integration and Testing of Dymension 3D

Operators receive a policy address from Roller, which liquidity providers must input to delegate liquidity. Currently, operators can list their address in the #eIBC-Operator Discord channel, with a fully integrated Portal experience expected soon. Operators input the RollApp IDs they wish to service, along with the RollApp RPCs, which verify transfers. It is recommended for operators to run a full node of the RollApp they serve.

The Bridge LP feature is now available for testing on the Dymension Playground. A full rollout on the Dymension Mainnet is anticipated as part of the 3D upgrade. More details on the upgrade can be found here.
