Binance has announced the addition of Hemi (HEMI), a modular Layer-2 protocol, as the 43rd project on its HODLer Airdrops page. Hemi aims to enhance scaling, security, and interoperability, leveraging the capabilities of both Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Users who subscribed their BNB to Simple Earn (Flexible and/or Locked) and On-Chain Yields products between September 17, 2025, and September 19, 2025, will be eligible for the airdrop distribution. The airdrops information is expected to be available within 24 hours, with the new token distributed to users’ Spot Accounts at least one hour before trading begins.
HEMI Trading and Airdrop Details
Binance will list HEMI on September 23, 2025, at 12:00 (UTC), opening trading against USDT, USDC, BNB, FDUSD, and TRY pairs. Users can start depositing HEMI from 07:00 (UTC) on the same day. The token will initially be available on Binance Alpha Market, but will be delisted once spot trading opens.
The total token supply for HEMI is 10 billion, with 100 million HEMI allocated for HODLer Airdrops, representing 1% of the maximum total token supply. An additional 50 million HEMI will be allocated to marketing campaigns post-listing, with another 100 million set aside for future campaigns six months later. Upon listing, the circulating supply will be approximately 977.5 million HEMI, or 9.78% of the total supply.
Participation and Eligibility
To participate in the HODLer Airdrops, users must subscribe their BNB to Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields products. Binance will take snapshots of user balances to calculate rewards, which will be distributed within 24 hours after the airdrop announcement. Users must complete account verification and reside in eligible jurisdictions to participate.
Binance has outlined that certain regions, including Australia, Canada, and the United States, among others, are excluded from participating in the HODLer Airdrops. The full list of excluded regions is subject to change based on evolving regulations.
